Ingredients
  

  • 3 to 4 pounds beef chuck roast Trim excess fat before cooking.
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup potatoes, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, cut into wedges
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Optional for added flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Trim any excess fat from the beef chuck roast and season it generously with salt and pepper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ranch dressing mix, Italian dressing mix, and brown gravy mix. Stir in the beef broth until well mixed.
  • Place the chopped carrots, potatoes, and onion at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Place the seasoned chuck roast on top of the vegetables in the slow cooker.
  • Pour the mixed seasoning and broth mixture over the roast, ensuring the roast is well-coated.
  • If using, sprinkle minced garlic over the roast for added flavor.
  • Cover the slow cooker with its lid and set it to cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  • Once cooked, carefully remove the roast from the slow cooker and transfer it to a serving platter. Use a fork to shred the meat, if desired.
  • Spoon the vegetables and gravy from the slow cooker over the shredded roast for serving.

Notes

Feel free to add other vegetables like celery or mushrooms for added flavor and nutrition.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and can also be frozen for longer storage.
Adjust the flavor of the gravy by adding more beef broth or seasoning according to your taste preferences.
