Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup yellow mustard
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • to taste none salt
  • to taste none pepper
  • optional none fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the diced onion to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in the ketchup, yellow mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and let simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Pour the meat mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Open the can of biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters. Evenly distribute the biscuit pieces over the meat mixture.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the biscuit pieces.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, then serve warm.

Notes

You can add other ingredients such as bell peppers or mushrooms to the meat mixture for extra flavor and nutrition.
Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
