Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (1 oz or 28 g)
  • 12 oz tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)
  • ½ cup sliced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • 1 unit avocado diced (optional)
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the taco seasoning to the beef and follow the package instructions, usually adding water and simmering for about 3 minutes.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (if using) and spread the tortilla chips evenly across the sheet.
  • Evenly distribute the seasoned ground beef over the tortilla chips.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef and chips.
  • Add the black beans, diced tomatoes, and sliced jalapeños on top of the cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Drizzle the sour cream over the top, and garnish with chopped cilantro, diced avocado, and sliced black olives if desired.
  • Serve immediately with a large serving spatula for easy sharing.
