1 8-inch square baking pan
1 parchment paper
1 medium saucepan
1 wooden spoon
1 measuring cups and spoons
1 candy thermometer optional
- 2 cups unsweetened condensed milk 480 ml
- 2 cups white chocolate chips 340 g
- 1 cup shelled pistachios 150 g
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 5 ml
- 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 g
- to taste drops green food coloring optional
Line the 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some paper to hang over the edges for easy removal later.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the unsweetened condensed milk and white chocolate chips. Stir continuously until the chocolate chips are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
Remove the saucepan from heat. Add the vanilla extract, salt, and shelled pistachios, stirring until combined.
For a more vibrant color, you can add a few drops of green food coloring to the mixture and stir well until evenly colored.
Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours or until set.
Once the fudge is firm, use the edges of the parchment paper to lift it out of the pan. Place it on a cutting board and cut it into 12 squares.
Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
You can substitute almonds or walnuts for pistachios if you prefer another nut.
For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the fudge mixture.
This fudge makes a lovely gift when wrapped in decorative packaging!
