  • 1 cooling rack

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup finely chopped pecans For an extra crunch, you can toast the pecans before adding them to the dough.

Instructions

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, chopped pecans, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Using a cookie scoop or spoon, form small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each cookie.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack.
  • If desired, dust with additional powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For an extra crunch, you can toast the pecans before adding them to the dough.
These cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
