Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces cod fillets (6-ounce each)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter Melted.
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice About 2 lemons.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley Or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley.
  • to taste lemon slices For garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley until well combined.
  • Place the cod fillets in a baking dish and pour the lemon butter mixture over the fish, ensuring each fillet is well-coated.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cod is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with lemon slices if desired.
  • Serve immediately, ideally with a side of steamed vegetables or rice.

Notes

For a bit of heat, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the lemon butter mixture.
Make sure not to overcook the cod, as it can become dry. Check for doneness around the 15-minute mark.
You can substitute the cod with other white fish like haddock or tilapia if preferred.
