Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sea salt (or kosher salt)
  • 2-3 pcs fresh jalapenos Depending on spiciness preference.
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Rinse the jalapenos and remove the stems. If you prefer a milder flavor, remove the seeds as well.
  • Place the jalapenos in a food processor or blender and pulse until finely chopped.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped jalapenos with the sea salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until well mixed.
  • Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, or until the jalapenos have dried slightly and the mixture is fragrant. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning.
  • Allow the mixture to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, pulse the mixture in the food processor again to ensure an even consistency.
  • Store the jalapeno salt in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Use within a few months for the best flavor.

Notes

Adjust the number of jalapenos based on your desired heat level.
You can experiment with other spices such as smoked paprika or lime zest for added flavor nuances.
