- 4 cups fresh corn kernels About 6 ears of corn.
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons honey
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley Optional, for garnish.
Begin by removing the kernels from the corn cobs using a knife. Place the kernels in a bowl and set aside.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
Once the butter is melted and bubbling, add the honey and stir until combined.
Add the fresh corn kernels to the skillet, along with salt and black pepper. Stir well to coat the corn in the honey butter mixture.
Cook the corn for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is tender and slightly caramelized.
Taste and adjust seasoning if desired. Remove from heat.
If using, sprinkle the chopped parsley over the corn for a fresh touch before serving.
For a bit of spice, consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper to the skillet.
This dish can be made with frozen corn; just make sure to thaw and drain it before cooking.
Serve warm and enjoy as a fantastic side dish for any family meal or BBQ gathering.
