- 1 cup dill pickle juice
- 2 tablespoons gelatin powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar Optional, depending on desired sweetness.
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Begin by pouring 1 cup of dill pickle juice into a small saucepan over medium heat.
Add the 2 tablespoons of gelatin powder into the pickle juice while whisking continuously to avoid clumps.
If you desire a sweeter gummy, mix in the 2 tablespoons of sugar, whisking until dissolved.
Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the mixture and continue stirring until everything is well combined and the gelatin is fully dissolved.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes.
Once slightly cooled, carefully pour the mixture into the gummy worm mold. Ensure each cavity is filled evenly.
Place the filled mold in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until the gummies are fully set.
Once set, gently remove the gummy worms from the mold and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
For a vegan alternative, consider using agar-agar instead of gelatin.
Adjust the level of sugar according to your taste preference; these can also be made sugar-free using a sugar substitute.
Feel free to adjust the pickle juice or lemon juice amounts based on your taste preference for more or less tanginess.
