- 250 grams ground beef
- 250 grams broccoli florets Steamed or blanched until tender but still crisp.
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil For cooking.
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- salt and pepper To taste.
- cooked rice For serving (optional).
In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water. Stir well until the cornstarch is dissolved and set aside.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-6 minutes.
While the beef is cooking, steam or blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until tender but still crisp. Drain and set aside.
Once the beef is cooked, add the steamed broccoli to the skillet. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir well to combine. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Taste and season with salt and pepper if needed.
Serve hot over cooked rice if desired.
Feel free to customize with additional vegetables such as bell peppers or snap peas.
For a spicier version, add sliced chili peppers or a dash of chili sauce.
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat before serving.
