  • 4 fillets salmon About 6 ounces each.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley Chopped.
  • for serving lemon wedges

Instructions
 

  • Start by patting the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the fillets are golden brown and easy to flip.
  • Carefully flip the salmon using a spatula and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • In a small bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove. Stir in the minced garlic and lemon juice, then pour this garlic butter mixture over the salmon in the skillet.
  • Cook for an additional minute, basting the salmon with the garlic butter sauce to enhance flavor.
  • Remove the skillet from heat. Garnish the salmon with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
  • For a bit of heat, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter sauce.
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or rice to complete your meal.
