Equipment

  • 1 cooking spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz rice noodles (Bihon or Sotanghon) Soak in warm water until soft.
  • 1 cup beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Adjust according to preference.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Adjust according to preference.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 cup green beans, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup cabbage, shredded
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish
  • to serve lemon or calamansi wedges For squeezing over the dish.

Instructions
 

  • Soak the rice noodles in warm water for about 10-15 minutes or until they are soft. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add onions and garlic. Sauté until onions become translucent.
  • Stir in the julienned carrots and green beans. Cook for about 3 minutes or until they are slightly tender.
  • Add the sliced red bell pepper and shredded cabbage. Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Add the soaked rice noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions.
  • Serve on a platter with lemon or calamansi wedges on the side for squeezing over.

Notes

You can substitute beef with chicken or shrimp if preferred.
Feel free to add other vegetables like snow peas or mushrooms according to your taste.
Adjust the sauces according to your preference for flavor and saltiness.
