In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Add the melted butter and egg to the yeast mixture and whisk until smooth.
Gradually add the flour and salt to the wet ingredients, mixing with a wooden spoon until a soft dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 2 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball.
Place the dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about an inch apart.
Cover them with a clean kitchen towel and let rise in a warm place for 10-15 minutes, or until doubled in size.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, then enjoy warm.
