Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon sugar

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise and buttermilk. Whisk until smooth.
  • Add the red wine vinegar and lemon juice, and mix well.
  • Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and sugar.
  • Continue to mix until all ingredients are well incorporated and the dressing is creamy.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before using to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Serve the dressing over fresh salad greens, grilled chicken, or roasted vegetables for added flavor.

Notes

This dressing can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise.
