Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 1.5 lbs total.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach Optional.
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley For garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil on both sides.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring frequently.
  • Add grated Parmesan cheese to the cream and whisk until melted and smooth. If using, stir in fresh spinach and cook for 2-3 minutes until wilted.
  • Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon the sauce over them, and let them simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, you can marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for a few hours before cooking.
This dish goes well with pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the delicious creamy sauce.
