Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries About 3 cups.
  • 2 medium oranges Peeled and quartered.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup walnuts Optional.
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold water and remove any stems or damaged berries.
  • Place the cranberries and quartered oranges into the food processor. Pulse until the mixture is coarsely chopped, being careful not to over-process.
  • Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl.
  • Stir in the granulated sugar, walnuts (if using), and a pinch of salt. Mix well until the sugar is evenly distributed.
  • Taste the relish and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
  • Let the relish sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together before serving.
  • Serve the relish as a condiment with holiday meals like turkey or ham, or as a topping for cream cheese on crackers.
