Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz Cheetos, preferably crunchy
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Stir occasionally until the mixture starts to boil, then let it boil for 2-3 minutes without stirring.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and cinnamon if using.
  • In a large mixing bowl, pour the caramel mixture over the Cheetos, making sure to coat them evenly. Use a spatula to gently mix until all the Cheetos are covered.
  • Spread the caramel-coated Cheetos evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, stirring once halfway through to ensure even caramelization.
  • Remove from oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  • Once cooled, break apart any clumps and serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

For an added flavor twist, try adding in a handful of nuts or pretzels for extra crunch.
