  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 oven mitts

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted; for best results, use cold butter when melting.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).

  • In a 9x13 inch baking dish, pour the melted butter, ensuring it coats the bottom evenly.
  • Spoon the dough into the baking dish over the melted butter. The dough will float on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before cutting and serving.

Notes

For best results, use cold butter when melting, as this helps to create flaky layers in the biscuits.
Feel free to add herbs or cheese to the dough for extra flavor.
Serve with honey, jam, or gravy for an extra treat.
