- 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts About 1.5 pounds total.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic Minced.
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 large lemon Zest and juice.
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- for garnish fresh parsley Chopped.
Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Set them aside while you prepare the sauce.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear them for about 5-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use tongs to flip the chicken carefully. Once done, remove them from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Pour in the chicken broth, lemon juice, lemon zest, and oregano. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes, allowing it to reduce slightly.
Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Let them simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Once fully cooked, remove the skillet from the heat. Serve the chicken with the lemon garlic sauce drizzled on top and garnish with fresh parsley.
This recipe pairs well with steamed vegetables, rice, or a refreshing salad.
You can marinate the chicken in the lemon garlic mixture for an hour before cooking for an extra burst of flavor.
Adjust the amount of garlic and lemon to taste based on your preference.
