Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 baking parchment paper optional

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • N/A N/A herbs or spices for flavoring (optional) Such as garlic powder or dried rosemary.

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Whisk together until well mixed.
  • Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the warm water and olive oil. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
  • Lightly flour a clean surface and knead the dough for about 2-3 minutes or until it becomes a smooth ball.
  • Divide the dough into equal parts to make 8 slices or shape it into one loaf if preferred.
  • Place a piece of baking parchment paper in the air fryer basket to prevent sticking. Lay the dough on top, spaced apart if making slices.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Cook the bread in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  • Once cooked, remove the bread from the air fryer and let it cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Experiment with different types of flour (like whole wheat) for a healthier version.
You can store any leftover bread in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
To reheat, pop it back in the air fryer for a couple of minutes.
