Ingredients
  

  • 4 count bratwurst sausages Approximately 1 pound.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • optional buns And condiments of your choice (mustard, sauerkraut, onions, etc.).

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  • Using a sharp knife, lightly score the bratwurst sausages in a few places to prevent them from bursting during cooking.
  • Rub the oil and seasoning mixture evenly over the bratwurst sausages.
  • Place the sausages in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overlapping.
  • Cook the bratwurst in the air fryer for 12 to 15 minutes, turning halfway through for even cooking.
  • After cooking, check the internal temperature of the sausages; it should reach 160°F (71°C).
  • Remove the sausages from the air fryer using tongs and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
  • Serve the bratwurst in buns with your favorite condiments.

Notes

For extra flavors, add sliced onions and peppers to the air fryer during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
You can also try different types of bratwurst, such as beer brats or spicy varieties, to change the flavor profile.
Ensure that the bratwurst are fully cooked before serving, as undercooked sausages can pose health risks.
